Stab somebody to death in the shower with them ? Smile

I'd guess that they're stripped, but that's only a guess.
Hmm.. from reading the description again :
The other guess is that they're a Svengali deck and it has 26 death cards in the "dark" deck, or 26 of the fortune card or whatever in the "light" deck.

Hello

Wrong on both counts Mystician. Don't be like the 'regular' magicians - the 'how' is unimportant.

Babakali, I supply a couple of presentations but once you have used the deck you will see many different ways of using it. As I say in my 'blurb':

"You could of course use this deck to perform ‘tricks’, but I assure you that if you use it in conjunction with a psychic reading it will be much, much more powerful." But of course you already know that. That's why you are in THIS forum : )

Yes we do ship to the USA - two orders went off to your side of the 'pond' today. That is the great things about credit cards - they break down international barriers!

Mr. hart,
Please pardon my penchant for pondering the principles of prestidigitation - I am analytical by nature, it's more instinct than habit now, I've been a technician for most of my adult life, troubleshooting and seeing how things work.
Naturally, the important thing is the routine and presentation itself - but it is fun to "talk shop" too.
Sorry, I didn't' mean to sound like I ws attempting to reduce your new deck to something as unimaginative as a tarot-svengali deck. I am probably more of a "prop guy" than a magician anyway, a Hallween nut running amok in here Smile

Mystician, I am not offended - I've been married for 31 years so I am VERY thick skinned : )

The principle of Psycho deck is very simple. All my effects are simple to perform. They have to be as I use them all myself (not at the same time though!). I have a bit of a 'thing' trying to persuade the 'regular' magicians that the principle is NOT important - the presentation is. However HERE I am talking to the converted. : )

I occasionaly do a magic club lecture - and it will be even more rare nowadays. I'm always asked to explain the HOW, when they should be much more interested in the WHY.

I am not against using gimmicks at all, so long as they are simple.

If you like props, and most bizarre magicians like the odd candlestick and such, I've a few of those as well. Something for everyone...

perhaps Backhart could put some customer reviews on his web site concerning the psycho Deck because this sounds like a interesting product.
Heck is for people who don't believe in gosh

Mine is on its way. I’ll review it after I get it and get a chance to play with it. I’d review before I get it, but I’m not psychic, yet. Smile

Definitely. I love your site. I have the slasher at present (bought used though)
Come September/October, I will be making a few new purchases there.

Man, why must quotes eat up so much space here ?

Or you could also use a regular Tarot deck and just do cold readings with it. ;-)

Hello Philemon

I would always recomend that you throw in a little cold reading with your fortune telling.

Psycho Deck lets you add a little mind reading as well.

This combination will lift you right above the 'shut eyes'.....

Although I love the look of the product, I would never blindly order this deck by the description alone. I do believe the method is important. If I bought every trick based on the advertisements...I would be a broke sucker with a pile of junk gimmicks. As a performer I do need to have some idea of how it works, or at least its limitations before I throw my money at just another trick deck. Lets face it, if it were just a stripper deck or a Svengali - as a tarot deck I would be rushing to buy it.

Take the creature effect for instance. I would have never gotten it by description alone. But as a performer, once I learned the method I was sold on the idea.

I just reread the description. All I read for effect is that it is strong and creepy, or light hearted, and that it is good for producing a desired card.

I am sure the effects are strong, the presentation potent because of its clever method - but as a interested potential customer I am not sold by the vague advertisement.

Maybe a clearer description of effects or routine ideas you have used, or a video clip...maybe I will just wait the reviews. Ah the difficulties of being in a secrecy cult.

Good Luck on your new product Black Hart, I like your work.

Hello SenseiStrange

Thank you very much for your comments. It is always helpful for us to hear from potential customers and existing customers. We do take notice.

My philosophy as a magic manufacturer and dealer is simple: Treat people as you would like to be treated.

Be honest with people and (most) people will be honest in return.

I think that Black Artefacts is the ONLY magic manufacturer and dealer to carry a 90 day money back guarantee on ALL of our products. If within 90 days of purchase you decide that the item is not for you, simply return it and receive a full refund on the purchase price.

This means that you can order with confidence. You need not fear being ripped off because you know that you can get your money back.

Now, why don't all the magic dealers do that?

As a magic manufacturer and dealer Black Artefacts trades within a specialist niche market. We need of course to entice customers with our advertising copy and the descriptions on our website. There is quite an art in writing product descriptions and I do all those on the Black Artefacts website myself. I try to be honest and I also try to make them enticing. I back this up with our money back guarantee.

I do not work for anybody. I work for myself. I have two businesses. Both of which I enjoy and one of which is Black Hart Productions. I know very well that it would be very easy to get a BAD reputation and to lose customers, and if that hapened I would then lose money.

I do like the idea of video clips. I will look into it. I have to see how much time and effort is involved. Thanks for the idea.

Regards

Wow that sounds like a great deal you have going there. Of course I do understand the need for secrets, but since I started working in a magic shop I now see how much garbage is peddled. Your stuff, from the look of it, does seems pretty primo. Bizarreists after all love quality props.

Thanks for the thoughtful response.

If you ever buy anything from Blackhart, you will NEVER return it. I have museum of antiquities and it is fabulous. The letter with the poem looks so real. I also have the Draculea, it's almost too scary to perform, seriously freaks people out.

It's like a show in a box. I wish I could have purchased on of those book boxes, those look beautiful.
Cheers,
