Some days back I had posted a coin VANISH, which was my very first invention and trust me, coming up with an effect makes you feel really GREAT.
Well, here's my next invention. I call it "The Execution". It's basically a color change which can be used for other effects too. (You will see in the video what I mean) I would like to invite you all to watch the video and throw in your creative comments. http://www.disturbreality.net/MORGAN/ex_imporved_logo.mov E N J O Y manu

I like it, however I am not partial to the camera editing of magical effects. Good job though!!
Buckle up... it makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car.

Hi Manu, I always give anyone full marks for trying to be original. However, watching the video there are a few things that I'd like to point out. What would be your reason for taking a card, throwing it on the table, then taking the same card and putting it on the top of the deck, then removing it again? The certain you know what on a particular card is very visible, and the subsequent fiddling of the ace looks pretty obvious and mechanical. The final change is fine, although pretty standard. I know this sounds harsh, but it is my honest opinion.
If you would like my opinion on how you could improve the change please feel free to P.M. me and I will be only too glad to help. |

The mini-matrix effect was pretty nice.
But the actual change suffers from weaknesses as Ziatro has kindly informed you about. The actual change though has the impact as that of a Shapeshifter. Good job! Logan

I thought the actual handling looked pretty good. What Ziatro said is technically correct, but most laypeople just don't say things like, "why would you take a card out, put it back in, and then take it out again." While it may be true, there are plenty of things a magician should be able to say and do to bridge the gap between those steps, and subsequently make the viewer forget it even happened. I liked that change, I've never seen it before. I'm pretty sure I understand the method to the effect, but I'm curious about the patter involved. I see what is happening, but I don't know what is happening, you know? Pretty cool. P.S. I thought Soulbreakers was being postponed. Are you guys going at it again, or what's the deal?

Nice change, it's not too far off the shapeshifter however. Next time you do it, just flip the top card and then proceed. The sound effect when the change happened scared the hell out of me because my speakers were turned WAAY up. So thanks for taking 10 years off my life.
