Chris,

Good Luck with your new enterprise.....but ...you mentioned before that you'd post photos of actual props that you had built. Your illusions look nice but they are only computer graphics and do not show the quality of your building skills. I think a photo of the actual product is needed to show the consumer that the prop exists and had been constructed. Its during the construction process that the bugs really get worked out.

A computer graphic of a base may also look quite different than what a base actually has to look like in order to do its job properly.

I don't mean to come across as critical but its very easy these days for anyone to render a nice photo of an illusion concept on their computer and hang up a slate as an illusion designer.

Nathan,

Until I have secured photos of one of my illusions that someone else has purchased and built, I will will not be able to post it. I am not a builder, but a designer. I do not construct the actual props, I only design them. As for how well it is built, that will depend entirely upon who purchases and builds it.

Ok........now I understand. You are not selling the illusions but the blueprints to them ?

It is up to the puchaser of the design. I am happy to recommend builders during the consultation period. A lot will depend on what the client is willing to spend and exactly which materials they want to use.

I do not want to limit my clients to using on builder alone. There are many out there who really perfer to use their own builder and I want to be accomodating to that.

Hey George here is a testimonial for you from a Café member.

http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......04&6

Please note that normally we build the illusion to only collapse down in 6 major peices not including the Roller Blinds or the light staff. However in the case above the client wanted this thing to fit into a SUV and so we had to have everthing collapse including the base and uprights, so we built it to collapese into 13 pieces not including the roller blinds or the light staff. So if you want the same custom work, the project may take a little longer to complete than normal. We usually quote 2-4 weeks depending on our current building scheduel, but with a custom job such as the one mentioned above we would have to quote you 4-8 weeks depending on our current building scheduel.

If you have any specific questions on the prop or would like to talk to me privately, please email me or call us.

Best,

Peter.

Hi George,

The UK is definately not a cheap place to ship to but we use Menlo WorldWide Forwarding for all of our large freight shipments over seas and depending on how fast you would want it shipped they are still very affordable and very reliable.

The angles are great because of the design of the illusion, I don't want to go into exposure here but if you take a look at the illusion again you will see what I am saying or you can pm privately. We build base versions aswell that look the same, however it raises the price and is not suitable for VIP productions, and in some cases may need to be custom designed if needed to produce a bigger person. I must say though in my humble opinion that the base version is not as convincing as the shadows appear to be comming from down below as opposed to the version you see on our website where they would appear to come from all directions and this is soley based on where and how the person enters into the cabinet with this version. However this visual effect far surpasses any base method model.

And I must also add that this version is more ideal for openers and such since no one has to be "Loaded" into the illusion before hand, all couped up and in an uncomfortable postion. However the one good thing the base method has over the other one is that it can be done surrounded but the shadow effect is really only going to look good from 1-3 sides anyway, and either way the shadow effect created from a base model will not look nearly as deceptive as a non base method.

Both models have their advantages I suppose and all though we can provide you with either model, the non-base method is the way to go both for practicality and visual effect, but that is just my opinion.

Oh and I must add that all four blinds can go up at the end of the effect leaving just the frame of the illusion with the produced person standing in the middle.
