Ok all you Sou Cal Magis, where do you buy your stuff? If there was a Sou Cal magic store, would you shop there? Or is there one?
I heard LA was in desperate need of a good magic store. Is this true? |

I'm about an hour from Los Angeles (Hollywood Magic) and don't shop there anymore. All of my shopping is done online now (as opposed to mail). It was just too much trouble going into Hollywood and parking and all.
I've heard there are a couple of good stores in Orange County, but have no experience with them. Maybe some OC guys can help you out. Many years ago there was a great shop in Tarzana, but that went away long ago. Just not much in LA anymore, for the serious student.

Magic Galore & More is a hidden treasure in Orange County. Ken is one of my greatest friends and one of the best stand up magicians I have ever seen. He is a wealth of knowledge and very generous with his time and talents.
Ken started out with many other big name pros working at Magic Island and the Magic Castle and many of them frequent the shop. On any given day Michael Webber or Gregory Wilson will just show up and hang out for hours trading stories and sharing ideas. You should check it out. Brandon Cross |

The Magic Apple In Studio City is a great store. They have lectures frequently and they are friendly. David Regal is lecturing there soon. Can't wait.

David,
Seems you should be hanging around Les, Gertrude, and Alan over at Owen's. You're so close! Steven

Does Magic Galore & More has a web site showing the location? If I am in luck, I might able to come to LA in November...
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

I frequent "Best Magic and Costume" in Anaheim (714) 827-6442. They have a large stock of great magic and the guys behind the counter are very knowledgeable and always willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to choosing the right magic. Kurt and Gordon are walking encyclopedias of magic. Tell them JIM sent ya!!

Last time I was up that way, there was still a shop on Fair Oaks (I think it's "Would You Believe?"). I live in Orange County now, and I'll add my $0.02 to those lauding "Magic Galore & More." And, of course, you can't go wrong dropping in to see the guys at "Best Magic," either. Leland |
