I'm visiting London in 2 weeks and I'm from the USA. Anyone have any suggestions of places to see magic? I hear thers's a place like "The Magic Caslte" here over in London. Anyone know how I can get in and check it out?

Looking for good magic!

Hi Elmsley,

I went to London last November. You definately have to visit the Magic Circle. I think we (me and the friend I went with), contacted the Magic Circle and they arranged a tour of the place. They have lots of old magic there...even the original Zig Zag that Harbin built.

It was pretty cool. We walked in and immediately saw Pat Page and Ali Bongo just hanging out. When we were about to leave, Kevin James waltzed through the door (apparently he was in London shooting a TV show or something).

It was a very cool experience. A search on the internet should turn up some contact info for them.

Here's another idea while there...if you do any street performing you may want to contact the Covent Garden. There are also lots of street performers on their subway system, although I saw no magicians. Even if you don't street perform, check out the Covent Garden...there's sure to be a magic show going on at some point. Not to mention, there's a kid with a magic booth set up selling magic. He's pretty good, and witty one liners with an english accent is always funny.

Good luck...tell us about your trip when you get back!

Okay:

So I am leaving today and I have tickets to see Derren Brown's new show. I have seen his "videomind" but that's about it. I hope it's good! I'm looking forward to the trip and I'll post an update when I get back. Anyone know of anything else magical to check out? I contacted the magic circle, but no luck. Hmmmm.... Maybe I'll try when I'm there...
