Have you noticed that a lot of these posts seem pointless these days? I don't wish to cause too much offence here, but couldn't this just have been a Private Message?

It could have been, but then we wouldn't get to see Koz's newest toy. Considering servantes are "on topic" for this forum I don't see any problem at all.

C'mon Frank, where's the picture? As long as you have the camera out I still wanna see your new hat too.

fransk , when you get a chance...

Talk about a Masterpiece, Gazzo is making me a new customed pouch so I can keep my current pouch as a back up.

Ooo! sounds good. I don't know why I thought this, but I thought Gazzo wasn't making pouches anymore... Don't mind me, I'm always a bit dopey.

Mario, having a backup is a great idea. I've done this myself.
I have a backup everything. Except a pouch, come to think of it.

I'm wondering where to store this "backup set".
Where does one keep their spare stuff? In your house?
At a friend's house? If your house catches fire, both sets
would be gone. I'm contemplating this right now.

It might be a good idea to buy a spare house. Then you could put all your spare stuff in there.

However, if your house *and* your spare house catch fire, you're toasted.

I'm on the west coast, remember Smile

Ok, here's a link to the
Servante

I picked it up this afternoon. It's a work of art.
I nearly wept.

The leather is beautiful and soft so it folds up nicely for travel.

I like simple so I decided to use plain old hardware store wooden dowels as the structure. If one breaks, you can find a new one in any town, and they can be removed, to ease in carrying the thing. The small dowels can be removed and tossed into the servante if you're walking to and from a gig.
Take out all 4 for travel.

Nice zippered pockets on either end for whatever kozmo decides to put in there.
I used the exact same pockets that are on my poacher's pouch on the inside. Great for small items and coin slots.

A simple flap covers the servante and closes with a standard belt type buckle.

Center dividers can be unsnapped and used as pockets or pieces of stiff plastic/masonite/etc. could be slipped in there to keep the dividers stiff.

Bottom and outside sides are stiffened with thick leather to help keep it's shape.

Shoulder strap clips on either end.

Rivets where beneficial. No velcro. No plastic. No corinthian vinyl.

The thread used to sew these pouches is revolutionary.
You could not break a thread with your hands even with gloves on, if you tried.
The servante, like all my pouches, is guaranteed not to ever break thru normal use or it will be repaired at no charge.

There is also a bit of artistic stitching in certain areas that looks really nice.
I should have shot a pic or two of that as well.

Nice hat! Oh yeah, the bag's pretty good too.

I'll see what I can do to get you a pic of your pouch during it's "World Tour" next week.

Dave,
Best of luck to you on your tour!

I've been thinking a lot about your upcoming tour.
I hope it is all you want it to be.

And as you can see, Kozmo is sleeping right now.
Tired from all that busking.

I should be in bed myself.

It looks very nice, Frank.

Couple questions: how does it attach to the table? Also, it looks like extends out quite a bit from the table. Will this prohibit the performer from working closely to the table?

Thanks,
Paul

It attaches to the table with 2 straps that will snap to kozmo's keyboard stand.
I provided bare leather straps. He will punch holes and afix snaps at the right spots. We decided that this was the best way to go for him.

It ends up being about 6 inches further from the table.
I tried it out and it was comfortable distance.

Good question for Kozmo though, Paul.

I have worked with a similar design for years and there's no problem with me getting to the table... very comfortable... the deal with this versus a pouch is, I believe it's more deceptive... works great as a topit with some misdirection... when you quit at the end of the day you just pack it up like a bag and boom you are off... travels great on airplanes. (I fly, I'm good) Smile It's been well thought out... acually frank came up with great ideas for the thing ..now it's time to road test the thing... I will let you know how it works..
koz

Frank, that's HOT!!! Can't wait... send it to me dude!!!

On the road tomorrow to North Carolina so I won't get it in time, but will see it next week hopefully... WOW!!! Hope it looks that good in real life. Smile

Koz,
Is this one smaller or larger or what's the "improvements" over your last design?

Jim
