Fabrice, why are you yelling ?

Ok, maybe some comments might be overwelming for this presentation, but keep in mind that we all started somewhere. Kids like this need to be encouraged, specially if the work is well done and the secret kept.

Just my two cents.

I did a big illusion show for a group of motorcycle dealers at a convention center a few years ago and was asked to produce a motorcycle. My son in law and I designed and built a large tip over trunk and, to close the show, produced a child with a large helmet and motorcycle clothing riding on a mini motorcycle on a small stage with spectators only a few feet away. There was no way to fully curtain the front of the stage so the kid was loaded into the trunk shortly before the show with the aid of some rear curtains and props carefully placed for the angles while people were hanging around nearby. We built in a side panel to hinge and separately open as a door so the child could roll the bike out of the side of the "empty" box.

Oliver I'm not yelling ,
but many times I don't undeststand why ( just the magicians and not the audiences)
can say or use words like " wow" " Great" for somethings totally Un- Magical ,
( I'm not referring on this specific clip I'm sorry Devon I don't want attack you) ,
I'm referring on many many many Pseudo illusions or magic trick liked just from the magicians but really un- magical in the Audience's eyes!
I can make a long list of Illusions or magic tricks whit this kind of Un- magical things,
so what I hate from many magicians is "we must be more realistics" and we must think more on " what my Audience can think on this illusion" and " how I perform it" " what is magical on what I'm performing",
last example this clip :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_ZdLMh0gjw
tell what a spectator can think after this?

Yes,absolutely concord with you Fabrice! Many tricks are not clever, deceptive,or like you say totally Un- Magical ,often this is cheep tricks,or knock-off.But without new ideas magical art not developed.OK lets try making list of Illusions or magic tricks whit this kind of Un- magical things. Serg.

So Fabrice, (or anybody) how can we make Devon's Motorcycle more magical? Keep in mind we're on a very tight budget. I sent you a PM with Devon's "Story" so you could see where we are But We're always open to suggestions.

I would look at illusions and moves similar to Bryce's Screen, Victory Cartons, Arabian Tent or Haunted House as possible methods. All of these are for producing a person but with some thinking it could be possible to develop the right method that would add more "magic" to your current illusion. Books such as Tarbell Course in Magic and Mark Wilson's Complete Course In Magic are a good place to start.
