The link above has been on a few posts recently and if you haven't looked, then I'm sure you'll be interested seeing the wonderful display of cards collated. For years I've been trying to identify a beautiful back design of playing card that featured in many card magic books of the 1950's-1970's. Take a look at the Aristocrat range - in particular Back Number 1 (Bank Note Back). If anyone has a few decks of these (preferably unopened) and likes good cooking, then please contact me and I will glady swap you my Wife for them! I recently handled a deck of these when I met the brilliant English card magician - Al Smith. He'd been using them for years but they still handled perfectly. Another point of interest. I don't know if you guys in the USA can readily obtain these anyway, but the Texan 1889 deck is now available via Cards4 Magic. The attached link refers. http://www.cards4magic.co.uk/acatalog/NEW_LINES_JUST_IN.html I know I've recommended this company before and I honestly do not have any link with them (other than the one above)! However, they are an excellent company to deal with and over here in the UK, they are the best outlet that we have for the provision of difficult to obtain packs (oops sorry - Decks) ! Have a great Weekend everyone.

I looked over the photos, and some of those decks are to die for!

Never tried the Walgreen Studs. I heard they are just as good if not better than the oringal bikes.

That site is most helpful, I go there a few times a week usaully. I have a few decks of those particular texans, and I must say there nothing special. They don't fan well at all, but I havent tried powder with them.
also good luck finding the aristocrat cards, as they are extremely rare...
I like cards.

Does anyone know where I can get some Poker sized playing cards with gold or silver gilt edges? I'm not too concerned about the back design but would dearly love some gilt edged playing cards. I think recently on his TV show Derren Brown used a deck that was like this. They were provided by the guy who was president of the company and his face appeared on the Ace of Spades. Anyone know where I'd get a deck of these?
Dave. Ok, I got some. I've searched the web before to no avail but managed to find some after posting the above message. Dave.
