Hiya, Magi:
I acquire half-dollars at the bank whenever cashing a cheque; sometimes I hit the jackpot and score some 1964 or earlier silver halves (worth about 2.5x face value, because of their silver content). Of course, even the later halves can be spent (at face value, drat!) and they make a nice intro for a brief Magic set while spending 'em. I've found that younger clerks are largely unfamiliar with this denomination, and a quick coin roll and a simple vanish make a nice routine when buying coffee or what have you. Not quite street Magic, but adapt as needed. Leland |

Leland, that is a good idea. I have a few halves on me for some sleight of hand, but I never wanted to spend them. I will carry more than usual now, so I can use your idea to springboard into some tricks.
Thanks, Chris
