Heres the task, create star wars themed tricks. I mean a lot of parents are star wars kids and with the new movies kids are very farmiliar with the plots. Here is a small list to get you all thinking, post routines as you think of them, and remember some of them can be very expensive things that aren't realistic...
Aaron

Dancing Lightsaber
Deathstar Zombie
Appearing 8 (or ten) foot lightsaber
Square circle production of star wars toys
Take the light from a lightsaber (Dlite routine)
Green spongeballs could be planets

Hope this gets you thinking, post your routines,
Aaron

Jim Gerrish, whacky creator of the burnt shoe routine, has a Star Warts skit for kids on my site. It's like Grant's Farmer and the Witch, but uses more characters, all from Star Wars. And just when you think you know who's playing Dark Vapor...

How about a color changing light saber routine. Something along the lines of Darth Vader's saber is always red, but in the end when he saves his son from the Empereor his saber turns to blue to match Luke's.

Costume change from Anakin to Darth Vader.
How about the floating pear (in episode 2).
Levitation of a "speeder" or "ship".
Bullet Catch with a blaster.
Cutting a person in half with a lightsaber.
Juggling lightsabers (not exactly a trick).
Levitation of a model of Cloud City.

The Jedi Mind Trick!

Say you can ACTUALLY do it... Write somewhere first what you wanna influence the person, don't let anyone see it, then the person says something WHICH...

Is what you wrote on the paper...

How?

I have no... freaking idea... Smile

But that'd be so... cool...

Also, use The Force to move objects...

PKs should do this...

The problem I have (okay, okay, IMHO) with doing tricks based on Star Wars or a similar movie is that, in the story, it's all technology. The light sabers, the speeders, the Death Star, and so on, are all products based on science and tech. For me, if it's science and tech, it's not magic.

I could see maybe doing something with The Force, but, even there, it's not magic: it's a real thing... a natural... phenomenon... or something.

For me, the question would be, what would a magician on Tatooine or one of the other planets do? What would a civilization this advanced still consider magic?

I don't have a clue, but it's certainly food for thought.

How about Fearson's floating cig / Area 51 with an x-wing fighter, and John Williams music in the background?
