I just got one of the last Tri-Epic effect and I am glad that I did. Since there are no more, I will not got into a lenghty review but suffice it to say that it is excellent, well made and well thought out as as of Devin's other effects. I have alreayd pre-ordered In the News, the smaller version of Tri-Epic. I suggest that those who were unable to get the Tri-Epic not to delay and to order In the NEws before it gets sold out, which I am sure it will be. Please note that I have absolutely no connection with Devin and have no interst in the sales of this or any other item. I just am pleased when a professional with many years of experience like Devin puts out excellent effects that have been carefuly routined and audience tested.

Best regards,

Michael

Magicinsight,
Where you pre-ordered IN THE NEWS? I can't see it on Hocus Pocus.

Devin,
Can you tell about #4 Double Coincidence and others releases?

All I want to say about Double Coincidence is that it a version of Chess Gambit that will have more appeal to most magicians. It won't require that the audience know the game of chess but will deliver a similar effect using different items. Already have a deal with Murphy's to release this. Shipments of the needed items are arriving daily so this won't be too far off either.

Release #5 which I can't say much about right now (but I have an exclusive deal with Murphy's and Hocus Pocus) will be the updated and re-release of one of the most sought out items in the mental world that is almost impossible to find. With release #5 mentalist will have something very special to look forward too. Sorry don't PM and ask what it is as I can't tell you right now, but it is currently in the works.
Hopefully if all goes as planned (despite rumors to the contray)Release #6 will be the long rumored Retro-Gravity. Right now I must focus on release #5 as this is major undertaking. Somebody said that everytime they read about Retro I keep changing the ad and adding to the effect. Very true, because almost monthly I think of NEW improvements. Had retro been released last year it would have been obsolute this year as I've added that many new techniques to it. I think I've finally ran out of improvements and will finally try to complete this. I know many people think it is a HOAX but it's not. I think my recent output on the market of quality items should show I do have and release items. Unfortunately they are on my schedule and not at the whims of dealers. Retro is coming and I quarantee you it will be worth the wait. Yes it is NEW techniques and approaches not taken by others, if that doesn't seem possible, then consider my glass box which is being hailed as new handlings. Peace.

Mr. knight I own your tri-epic deluxe and it is pretty amazing, I will be ordering all of your mentalim from hocus-pocus.com, I was wondering are your future items going to be less than 1000.00 dollars, retro-gravity sounds like it is going to be real pricy, but if it is I could understand tri-epic is one of my favorite routines right now, thanks justin lewis

A LIMITED AMOUNT of this item, due to popular demand will be available from Murphy's next month. I am making a one time limited run. This is your chance to get this item if you missed out. Over the last year I've had many people ask if they could still buy this. The answer has always been no, but murphy's convinced me to make a very small one time limited run for them.

The limited run is over and I've told Murphy's no more will be made. A few dealers have them and murphy's still has a few. When these are gone no more.

I came accross "In The News recently", and thought it would suit my type of act perfectly. I then came to understand via this forum that it's the child of Tri-Epic Deluxe, which to be honest would suit my act even more! But as the latter is hard to come by couldn't I just adapt what came with "In The News" for a bigger, more visual performance for a stage setting?

By reading the description; is it not possible to perform a sort of home made Tri-Epic Deluxe with the information and props recieved with "in the news"?

Many thanks,
Jack

Hi,

At http://www.youtube.com/javiernewman you can see (no full-show) how I usually work with tri-epic deluxe.

But I have problems with the markers. It is difficult to read it for the espectators. Even for the video-camera.

It is a great effect. Everybody like it.

Thanks magicbuilder.

In the News sounds fantastic. What is the difficulty level? Easy enough for a hobbyist doing magic for friends and family?

Yes, it's pretty easy, Samdan. Just requires an engaging performance, and you'll "own 'em!"

Just sold mine, in fact, on Ebay, because I picked up Tri-Epic Deluxe, quite cheaply, and it's the same routine essentially, with minor modifications, on a larger scale.

There's one aspect to the handling in the original In The News instructions that I never liked...in fact, had people comment on it, on 2 occasions. Otherwise, it's flawless. If you get the routine and want to PM me on the handling, feel free.
