Why do I occasionally open the wrong post by mistake?

---

I will say up-front that the solution isn't unique, and you will probably think of half a dozen or so solutions that fit the question. I only post this puzzle, because this is a real-life lateral puzzle, not a contrived one that you see so very often nowadays.

Here are a few facts that may (or may not) help. There are four people who live in our house: Kerrie, my wife, and our two sons, Paul (who is 4) and Reece (who is nearly one).

Feel free to post your guesses/potential solutions here

Are you seeking a means to prevent yourself from openning the post of others?

An interesting thought that, Jonathan. Not really, I know exactly what to do - be a little bit more awake when opening the post!

I've just noticed a small ambiguity in the phrasing of who lives in my house - I'm implying that there is someone called Kerrie who lives here, as well as my wife. To set the record straight, Kerrie is my wife. The fourth person who lives here, is of course, me

Could it be that you misread
MRS BUXTON
as
MR S BUXTON?

And if your middle initial is K....

Stan, do you see it as a hobby to solve my puzzles? (grin)

Yes, that is the solution - well done!

I'm curious though, Stan - do you (or anyone else out there with the initial letter "S") have the same problem?

A very enjoyable hobby, Stephen.
Thanks again.

By the way...what is your middle initial?
