Hi, my name is Matthew and I am 20, I'm in a wheelchair. I also have arthritis in my wrists and hands. I cannot do sleight of hand, palming or false moves. I ask you people from the bottom of my heart if you can help.

I like close up magic and I want to make my own routine up. Okay, I want effects that use dice. I am looking to work with someone in discussing dice and trying to make something that will work for me and amaze my SPEC in a routine. I will be willing to pay when and if someone helps me.

So, what I am looking for is someone who has the skills to make dice and we can discuss a routine and what I am looking to accomplish. Reply back, email me, or PM me.

Thank you in advance.......

Hey Skitch,

Sorry I don't know of any self working dice tricks (maybe someone else on this forum does). I also don't know the extent of your arthritis but if you can touch your first finger and your middle finger to your thumb independently and alternate between the two, you shouldn't have a problem doing Bob Sheet's version of Dr. Sacks dice routine. It's on his video "It's The Rules". As mentioned in other posts here, it's a great routine. Maybe someone else could chime in if they know the routine and agree or disagree with my assessment of the dexterity required.

Good luck,

Scott

Sure... there's a great self working die trick out there called "the diminishing die" O.k. almost self working. I don't know much about arthritis, but I bet we could come up with custom size dice that might work for you. And if not, I know a modification to the trick that WILL make it "self working". The illusion is a basic 'shrinking die' trick. You place a die on "any surface" and pass your hand (or if modified- pass an 'object') over the Die... and it instantly shrinks in size!

I think we used to sell it at 'the magic touch' for $5.00 bucks. For as simple an illusion it is... I remember selling out of it a lot.

There is a company that can cater to your gaffed dice needs but they are very expensive due to the fact that making gaffed dice is a dying art and only one guy there can do it. He used to charge me 40 dollars for tops and bottoms per cube now he wants 100 dollars. If you can toss dice I'm sure you can come up with something . He does good work and is extremely knowledgable and cooperative for the right price.E- ME FOR THE NAME I CANT POST IT HERE.
