Remember what I said about missing a letter...
If you put an infinite number of apes in front of an infinite number of computers, you get a pretty good idea of what internet chat rooms can be like

No. The letters are not an acronym. They are:

PI E

or

PLA E

Aha! I wasn't familiar with the second variety, so the additional
clue only confused me.

This one has me stumped.

Stephen-

When you say it is missing a letter, Do you mean a letter in the English alphabet?
Might we talking about a letter in the Greek alphabet?

It is an English letter, commonly found on the QWERTY keyboard, not a Greek letter.

Can't a plane also be "stumped"?
Try neon.

Stan, you're a tease.... I see that you have also solved it.

Well done!

Stephen,

I hadn't solved it until just before I posted:
"Aha! I wasn't familiar with the second variety,
so the additional clue only confused me."

I'd recommend that others look "plane" up in
a dictionary. There may be a use of the
word that they're not familiar with. I
certainly wasn't familiar with "plane" in
the sense in which it is used in your
additional hint.

Well, I could have done CHEST UT or ROWA, but I thought the others were better
