Matt,
I have an impromptu looking routine I'll share with you. It's along the lines of Malini's button biting, only different. E-mail me and I'll send a copy of it. Thanks, Ronnie |

How about pulling something out of your shoe like a coke can (Leirpoll) or a rock (Harris). I believe the coke can out of shoe is free if you do a little hunting on Jarle Leirpoll's web site. You could also use your jacket and a third h--- to create some levitation effects.

How about turning your pocket handkerchief into a glorpy. Or, if you did a switch, you could do a Waltzing Matilda rountine using the kerchief.

1) Jim Pace on Visu-Antics eye popping DVD has a nice bit where your hand looks like it goes deep into a hat. hard to explain, good visual illusion.
2) The invisible thread in tie was mentioned, sometimes I follow it with Jim Pace's tie gimmick. You appear to be pulling a thread, and the tie rolls up into a ball. 3) Using a TT, make it look like you've stuck your thumb through your spectators' coat sleeve. 4) Dean Dill has a tie with a light bulb that actually lights up. Use in conjunction with a yellow D'lite for a quick opening routine.
Mediocrity is greatly under rated!

Does anyone know where the original Malini button rip can be found?
TRICK OF THE YEAR: Industrial Revelation, BOOK OF THE YEAR: The Approach, The AIP Bottle, and my new book Scenic 52, can all be found over here: SendWonder.com

In Joshua Jay's Magic Atlas I think there is an effect where a button is torn on, caused to double in size, then reattached.

There is also "Shirt Happens", the effect where you quick change your shirt, or quickly put a shirt on.

Hi!
In Scarnes MAgic tricks is an effect with a shirt. And you can use your belt for the old gambler effect "which hole closes?" (I think this is very bad english, I hope you know what I want to say) - it is similiar to "chain swindle" (a kind of "monte", e.g. in Gansons "close up magic" No. 1). Years ago I saw an effect with a diminishing glove (where to buy?) and of course the comedy effect with the rope which ends are in your sleeve and trousers and which ends with your underwear. Kind regards! Angelo |

David Williamson also has a very cool routine in the book Williamson's Wonders. It involves 3 silver dollars and a magician's wand, along with your sleeves and pantleg. Very entertaining.
