So what is the "Mike Mode's Nun/None " routine and where can it be found?

Floating bill and sponge balls/bunnies. They are no where near most difficult thing that I can do, but they sure have paid my bills and gotten me a ton of dates over the years. As a matter of fact that is how I meet my current girlfriend.

Hey Bill I get requests for the sponge bunnies.
I would say my best strolling card effect is the invisible deck. My best noncard effect would be the pothole. |

It's become a permanent fixture in Billy McComb's pocket among many other well known pros. Aye Jaye even taught it to Muhammed Ali because he liked it so much... how cool is that! There was a picture of Muhammed learning the trick in the Linking Ring a few months back. It's a simple coin trick with sight gag/pun thrown in for laughs. You show a quarter and ask if the spectator is good at math. I tell them that I'll make the question multiple choice so it's easier - the answer will either be "one" or "none". I ask them how many coins are in my hand and they reply, "one". I then remove the coin and ask them how many coins are left - they reply, "none". I then open my hand to reveal a small plastic Catholic Nun. That's it! It doesn't sound like much but it plays very well with non-magi folk. It's available from most dealers or at http://napkinrose.com/order.html Thanks for asking! Michael mode |
