MagicSanta - Thanks for the explanation, as I really had no idea what you were referring to in your original post. That lets me know thatI woud also be dissatisfied with Sal's dvd, as my intention in purchasing it would be to learn the monte moves (and I probably would find his character to be objectionable, as that is light years away from my personality). All the best -

Basically the order is SFS, DARYL,SAL **IF your judging thoose three sources
I never figured sals was going to be a good instruction because the demo....he pretty much says don't DO THIS lol meaning don't hustle people he is meaning to teach you enough so you wont EVER GET HUSTLED BY IT is what I got from the demo therefore SFS ....obviously will teach you because well....its the School FOR Scoundrels lol and Daryl is great he is one of the best teachers out there so bottom line is IF YOU WANNA LEARN IT BUY SFS AND DARYL IF YOU WANNA LEARN IT ON A TIGHT BUDGET MEANING YOU CANT GET THEM ALL THEN GET SFS AND IF YOU WANNA LEARN FROM DARYL....you should Probally get DARYL's lol

I love and use Vernon's routine.
Find the one that works for you and use it!

Again for those of you who learn from reading (nothing wrong with DVDs but some like to read) the notes from SFS are outstanding. I couldn't learn from other sources until I found those notes.

Well..after actually watching sal's 3 card monte video I agree there is probally no comparrison with sfs or Daryl's HOWEVER I liked it
sal seems like a nice guy and I disagree somewhat with others oppinions such as "this dvd isn't to teach YOU how to do it" although it may not be made to make you a pro it is laid out to teach you the basics so that if you practice you CAN DO IT he presents the video as a tool to help you not get hustled however his Character throughout was telling me mabye he is saying theese things just because the dvd requires it (NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES ARE SUPPORTED) in the end its actually a decent video to watch even if it doesn't go into great detail it can teach a begginer how to do the monte thanks DC P.s I know this forum is about SFS but I just posted this because we mentioned sals version here

It really depends on the person. If you find you can learn from books I say go for the book. The book has the history of the routine and gambling background and I found it facinating and to be honest you just can't lay in bed with a good video in your hands. If you just want to learn the routine and listen to the history go for the dvd if you learn better from them. I have read the booklet about a dozen times.
