My combo cup set uses 8 1" balls, slightly smaller if you like, 4 of one color (one chopped), and 4 of another color (unchopped). It further uses 5 final loads.
If you choreorgraph your routine you won't ever have to worry about keeping track of anything. For me everything is in the right place at the right time. By the way, part of my routine was lifted almost straight from the excellent Loomis routine - not his patter, that doesn't fit my routine, but some of his moves are - well - elegant. |

Euangelion makes some very nice felt balls. I've become quite fond of them. They are hand made and not quite spherical so they don't roll away. Other than that I'm not sure why I like them so much but I really do. I like the feel of them, they move well in the hand. I can easily classic palm the 1 inch balls.

Blazes, the reason I made the balls is that I couldn't find anything else that worked as well. Even if I didn't make them, I'd buy them. In fact I did! And when they weren't available in the size and color I wanted I learned to do it myself.
They aren't perfectly round. The squarish pattern of this knot means the ball will only roll a few inches, so a table rim isn't absolutely necessary. They're heavy, so they don't bounce out of your hand, or off the table. The suede texture means they cling to your hand, making them a breeze to use. Buy them, make them, I'll even help you learn to make them yourself, I don't care, but I still think they're the best.

Dave, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and I can understand your affinity for the monkey fist balls. They are truly wonderful.

Three Chop cups? Congratulations!
Depending on the number of chop balls you need, may I suggest our own Frank Starsini's small felt chop balls. They should be perfect for those cups. He should be able to mix and match to give you the set you need. Others make them as well, but I've actually used his and they worked perfectly for me.
