Since nobody seems to have an opinion, Ill give mine. the site feels very personal. I was particularly fascinated by the handwritten letters by Blaine. Also of interest are the pictures put up- most of which I havent seen before. Its refreshing to see Blaine in this light.

It's got some good content, but doesn't look like a real professional site. I mean, if you didn't know who he was and you went to this site, you wouldn't think that this is a celebrity's web site.

Go to http://www.mcbridemagic.com

then go to http://www.davidblaine.com

Maybe it's just me, but when I see McBride's site, I think "professional"

When I see Blaine's site, I don't have that same reaction. Does anyone else see what I'm talking about?

I checked out Blaine's website. It is simple and to the point. I agree it does not look like a very expensive put together website, but why should he? There is no guideline on what a website should look like if your a celebrity. McBride is selling him-self, he has shows and he needs his site to promote him. Blaine on the other hand just has a televison show onece in a while. Blaine in reality does not need a website, he just needs good network commercials to promote him. Blaine is a down to earth magician, without the elaborate show setups, his website shows his style.

Nope, doesn't do anything for me I'm afraid. Very plain and dull, and as for the journal - seriously lost the plot!

I like it.
It suits him.

McBride is very flashy, and so his site should be.
Have you ever seen Penn and Teller's website? It suits them. It is strong and to the point, like they are.

David Blaine has always had a simplistic style. No flashy costumes. No grandiose settings and lights. It fits his style of presentation. I would question if it didn't.

As for the photos, I saw many that were used in his book actually.

I agree with Pele! Both websites seem to suit the style of each performer and are effective.

Its ok, the navigation kind of suck since you have to keep closing out the page instead of just hitting back , or other page. Not a biggy though
