I believe you can get a UK version of peanut butter and jelly - practical magic did stock but unfortunately no longer do. I've had the same reservations about the bandana/banana trick. I did see a UK performer do it - and it was very funny - but it was to an audience of magicians. I'm not sure most UK children will know what a bandana is.
I would suggest you take a visit to Practical Magic and Mark Leveridge's site. I would definitely recommend Mark Leveridge's Silk release prop. It's not something I believe is used a great deal by other performers (at least I've never heard anyone discuss it) but I think it is a GREAT routine. Lots of laughs and bits of biz. A review of the prop (plus links to the above sites) can be found on my site http://www.kidzmagic.com Another thought - sponge balls works great with kids as well. Funnily enough Mark Leveridge has a good, simple routine of sponge balls as well. I use it all the time Mark |

I do Banana/bandana for kids over about 6yrs and they love it! Maybe they just think it's funny that I'm squishing this banana in my hand, but it plays really well for me and they laugh and clap in all the right places.

There are many many itemsfor children's shows which are totally universal and will suit children from any country and of course you can always change the routine to suit the children which happens a great deal depending on age .....race .....or sometimes it is an all boy or all girl party.
I have been doing the uncanny hankies routine for many years and is great if you have two helpers up ......but once again it is you who make the trick entertaining.
Hope this helps. Creation is life

I to use the Bandanna trick, and to great effect, over here in the UK,I would have to echo what the othershave put,"Practical Magic" and "Albion Magic" are 2 of the top dealers for Childrens Magic over here.
But in the states, check out "WolfsMagic",they have some props that I drool over, and would love to get my hands on....
