I need some help and I have some questions. Okay, I know of "Hopping Half" but I found these tricks.

http://www.magictricks.com/coins/21cent.htm

I'm also looking to buy the new Soctch & Soda magnetic kind. Does anyone have this version? Can you hand it out like the orginal version? I know Peter puts out a non gimmick set but I can't do sleights so that is why I am looking at the gimmick. If someone could reply back or PM me and tell me the handlings of these tricks and reviews that would be great. Thanks in advance...... Smile

All of these will make tell tale noises,
unless they are properly practiced, and handled very smoothly. They will require a small degree of dexterity to pull them off.

I would recomend the copper/silver coin and the Bobo's non-sleight handling from the Bobo's book.

The 21cent trick is the least likely to make those noises, but still can if not handled smoothly. The Bobo book has handlings for this one as well.

I own most of the gaff coins and a lot of close up props. If you want to PM me for opinions and your specific requirements.
...think not that all wisdom is in your school. You may have studied other paths, but, it is important to remember that no matter who you are or where you come from, there is always more to learn.

I would suggest saving your money and getting Peter's version of S&S. The sleights are not hard. I learned it when I was just beginning coin magic, so I subtituted an easier sleight for one that Peter uses and it worked out fine for me.

Give it a try and if you don't like it, you can buy the magnetic version.
