Using the qwerty keyboard you reverse it I.E. Q-M, w-n,e-b, and so on.

Interesting code. Might have a problem with it decoding across some countries, as A and Z sometimes swap places.

So, what did the binary message read?

If q goes to m
reflection across center of keyboard both vertical and horizontal
then wouldn't a go to ;? and s go to l? middle row symmetry??

I think it is done in a similar way to the

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
ZYXWVUTSRQPONMLKJIHGFEDCBA

cipher, except he has taken all the letters on the QWERTY keyboard and written them in order top row to bottom, left to right, and then reversed them underneath:

QWERTYUIOPASDFGHJKLZXCVBNM
MNBVCXZLKJHGFDSAPOIUYTREWQ
