What does the man want to know. If the kid is a truthteller or liar, or which town lies were.
If the first one would be the answer the man wants, than it is easy. Just ask the kid "what is one plus one?" If the second answer is desired, then... |

Hmmm... probably another lost tourist. How would you know if the kid was from either town?

"If I asked you if this road would lead to the village of truthtellers, would you say yes?"
If it did lead to the villlage of truthtellers... Truthteller would answer yes and respond yes. Liar would answer no, but he'd lie and respond yes. If not... Truthteller would answer no and respond no. Liar would answer yes, but lie and respond no. Therefore, if the answer is yes the road leads to the village of truthtellers, and if the answer is no it leads to the village of liars. |

Another possible answer would be "If I were to ask you which way it was to the village of the truthtellers, what would you say?" Pretty much anytime that you ask a question within a question it works.

The man will ask the boy "Which way is the correct way to your village ?"
If he is from the lying village, he’ll lie and send him to the truth tellers. If he is from the truth tellers, he'll tell the truth and lead him to the right village. :kewl: |
