Why on Earth would there be a DVD on just rubber band magic? Personally, I am not too fond of rubberband magic. It just seems stupid to me because all it is is just the ripping and restoring of rubberbands. That is it. Sounds like a waste of time to me.

All I can say, is that people are amazed by rubberband magic.

When you are sitting in a receptionists office on a cold call and make the casual comment that you were wondering if there was any more magic left in her rubber bands, and spend 2-3 min amazing her. She will go out of her way to ensure that you talk to the right people. If you were to pull the rubberbands out of your pocket, the automati assumption is that they must be rigged. If you borrow them from the persons desk, they are truly amazed...

I have this DVD and it was the first introduction to rubber band magic I had yet I found I had no problem learning the effects as they were taught very well. The performance section is very enjoyable to watch as well. As for favourite effects I think Smarty Pans(torn & restored band where you see the broken end of the band before restoring it)is excellent. I also agree with Kjellstrom about Ultimate Jump. Great Effect! I like to follow it up with The Great Divide (simliar effect but band is placed on first finger & thumb, middle 2 fingers are folded in to create a big gap and the band jumps to the little finger)

I could read your mind but I'm afraid of what I'd find

Joe's DVD is an awesome exploration in to the world of rubber band magic. You are not going to get a whole show from it but there will be some items that will fool you. I thought it was a very eye opening DVD with lots of new principals introduced and much will develop from this work of Joe's. Some of the effects are absolute killers. I use CMH and linking finger ring all the time and will certainly be adding 3 or 4 of Joe's effects to my regular band work. Just for interest sake, the patter I use for CMH is that the bands are to represent an ancient Zen puzzle called Yin and Yang and the idea is to discover how to separate Yin and Yang. It adds mystery and the audience laps it up!!
