Why on Earth would there be a DVD on just rubber band magic? Personally, I am not too fond of rubberband magic. It just seems stupid to me because all it is is just the ripping and restoring of rubberbands. That is it. Sounds like a waste of time to me.

All the more reason you should get it SirpoBoy - people are amazed by rubber band magic and there is plenty more than ripping/restoring... it's akin to saying why cards ? all you do is pick one, lose it and find it again.. RUBBISH!
If you make unknowledgable comments like that in this forum expect to get shot down in flames.... I suggest you look at things like pinnacle, star-gazer, found link etc Rubber band magic is an extremely valid genre of magic, with I suspect a great future ahead of it... I must also say to all new users - please do a basic search before asking the same questions over and over... it takes under a minute and you might even learn many other things on the way... and that is what this forum is for - it's packed with information - if you take the time to look!

I love doing Rubberband magic but generally feel it;s never a closer type of trick.
The reactions are always very good but not totally killer. Pinnacle is the best there is. ( Although I havn;t seen the new Dvd by Joe R. ) But I think my best reactions are to STARGAZER. It has a very magical quality that always gets a great reaction. |

Is Stargazer still available in the market?
I do Pinnacle alot. Borrowing the ring gets good reactions as opposed to using your own. Dan Harlan's Band series I have to agree was good. Does anyone have any reviews for this Dvd yet? |

Dear Camby
I have Joe's new DVD and it is so full of new effects, it will take some time to go through it all. There are 34 cool new tricks on it that Joe expertly demonstrates, and teaches. SirPoBoy Why did you bother to answer the question if you don't know what you're talking about? I agree with Clarioneer and strongly suggest you search rubber bands magic at this forum before you stick your foot in your mouth again. Al

Speaking for myself I love band magic but I am not going to say which effect is better than the next , I love them all. but I prefer non gimmick effercts the best.. the godfather ps no disrespect intended to anyone this is my opinoin that's all |

No disrespect taken Vinny - I thought I chose my words quite well - there is more to band magic than "ripping and restoring" then I simply gave a couple of examples... of course everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when that opinion is based on ignorance and is out of context, one wonders why it was made in the first place ? or am I not allowed my opinion

SirPoBoyI am a reader at this forum and might have made 1 or 2 posts. I think that CMH is one of the best effect around. I try to keep a few rubberbands with me at all times. At work or on vacation in the bar or on the corner. When I do it for someone, I always get a great reaction. If you would take the time to learn it, it would be well worth your time and it just might change your mind about rubberband magic.

Yo can find a superb effect on Joe Rindfleishs new DVD: ULTIMATE JUMP , looks impossible. Killer trick
One of the coolest rubberband effects I have seen and tested. Probably stronger as a effect than CMH... |

A rubber band is place around the thumb, 1st and 2nd fingers. Two spectators hold onto the magicians 1st, 2nd fingers and 3rd, 4th fingers respectively. The magician pulls up on the rubber band and visible forces it to jump onto the 3rd and 4th fingers. This is not the Collins Method and the spectators never let go before the jump.

I have been doing walk around magic at Applebee's Restaurant for the last six months and I would have to say I would never leave home without a good supply of rubber bands. CMH done in the spectators hands is an outstanding illusion done with very simply, light weight and inexpensive props. I think Dan Harlan had a saying "pack small and play big." I keep 10 or 12 rubber bands on my wrists and a few more in my pocket. Often times I will give some out just to silence critics that the bands may be gimmicked. I will definitely be ordering this new DVD by Joe Rindflishe.

Joe Rindfleisch is a top gun magician and his rubber band stuff is outstanding.
I saw him years back at a magic fun day in NJ. + I have his book. Don't have his new DVD yet but it's on my list. When doing strolling/close up I'll do a rubber band penetration (crazy mans handcuffs) then link and unlink (the hard one) then I'll turn two rubber bands into one. And I'll teach that one to a kid or man at the table. "In hopes for a tip" I'll give away two rubberbands to the person that gets taught the trick. "Still in hope of a tip".

Joe is an amazing magician and his ingenuity with the bands in remarkable. Many of these effects are like nothing you've ever seen and Joe does the most AMAZING torn and restored rubberband ever ! I had the fine pleasure of learning it from him personally and I have been hurting people with it ever since. Thanks Joe.
