Wow, what a moneymaking concept that would be. You know that would just be a money factory.

How about Cellini's wife, whose name escapes me at the moment. She does a heck of a cups and balls routine.

I recall Tom Frank mentioning in his blog that he was working with a young lady out in Washington. Teaching her the ropes so to speak. In fact he has pictures posted of her building an edge, and doing some magic. You never know, this could be the beginning of something great! I worked with a couple of young ladies that said they wanted to learn, but soon their interests fell off the minute they got a bad crowd or reaction from someone. I tried to explain that this was part of it all, but I think maybe they were a little more sensitive to the negative stuff. I am not saying this because they were women, rather just overly sensitive people. I sure would love to see more women in magic period!
I am truly blessed to have a job where people are laughing all the time and everyone believes in magic....Come to think of it, I'm blessed to even have a job.

Wellllll, I have to say I certainly agree gents. I haven never seen a dame magician busking. In fact, I do hope I can change that. I, myself, being a female, and heavily into magic. I am a professional actor and have been interested in magic for the past 4 years. HOwever, it wasn't until after I graduated theatre school had I made the realisation that I needed to be and must be a magician. Working in theatre my whole life has helped me quite a bit in the entertaining world. NExt summer I am planning to do a circle show at our fringe. I will start there, learn, and keep improving my skills. Let me say, I do get quite a bit of attention just by being a girl in this field. That alone intrigues people to hire me thus far. Iam completely obsessed with magic as everyone else on this forum probably is. And I know that I will never lose interest as maybe other women have. ITs even a mystery to me as to why there are so few women in this field. But if anyone has seen or know of any other dame buskers do let me know. ANy advice would also be much appreciated.
