My sponge bunny routine is played as a love story about 2 rabbits ( ear productions phase 1) that fell in love and can't stay apart from each other (Phase 2) and then got married , and had the babies ( phase 3).. I am interested to hear other people patter lines and if you do your routine differently when you have a table available or not ?

That one does not work with 3d sponge bunnies.
BTW I am looking for peopls OWN patter themes not a marketed one.

I am not familiar with Daryl's routine, can anyone describe it? Why will it not work with 3D rabbits?

Mine is called my Bunny Daryl .... has nothing to do with the magi of the same name.
Loosely based on the Bob Newhart show....

I have them for the kids.
There's an evil witch in the forest that's after the rabbits, to make stew out of them. Mrs Rabbit (of course) listens when the animals warn her the witch is coming, but Mr Rabbit does not, you know how men/ boys are. Mrs Rabbit hides in a safe place (the kids hand) but Mr Rabbit is taken to the witch's house (my pocket). Fortunately, Mrs Rabbit and the other animals warn the good fairy, who also lives in the forest and she magically helps Mr Rabbit escape and join Mrs Rabbit (or I let the kids say the magic spell). The now very angry witch goes looking for Mr Rabbit, who has learned his lesson and hides in a safe place, together with Mrs Rabbit. And they live happily ever after and have lots of children. Just look in your hand and you'll see! |

Nice... Now I have a reason to use my mini hat again that I've had for 40 years. I used the hat back then to do my version of Fred Kapps floating cork. I used a sponge ball in the hat instead of a cork in a box.

Look for wedding trinkets on google. I'll bet you'll find a million of them.
if you have a store that sells crafts try there. think weddings and google away. they are popular items for tables at wedding receptions. here.... http://www.stumpsprom.com/prom/Mini-Top-......=1073846

Right Frank,
I got mine way back when from a florist shop. They had a display stand at the register counter that was a small hat rack. The black top hat was one of the items hung on the hooks. So a wedding type of shop should be a great place to start. -Ron |

There also is a marketed effect which comes with a hat that looks very much like the one in the vid. It also has a nickel that vanishes and appears in the hat, along with one of the rabbits. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the effect - I am not at home.

I don't know about you, but sponge bunnies are perfect for condom commercials
On a more serious note, I modified the "classic" patter to work with a wild coin routine but instead of the coins, the sponges. |
