I just purchased this recently and I am having a problem with the gimmick staying in place while pouring the coke into the glass. Is this a common problem?

Trying to hold the gimmick in place makes it very hard to keep the other end end from flashing. Anyone else run into this and how do you handle it?

Thanks,
Jack

(I first posted this in the Banquet Room Secret Sessions but added it here in case someone not in that section having an answer)

Jack, I had the same problem. I removed the part that holds the coke so in my routine I don't pour out the coke. I just show the coke can. I realize this doesn't play as big, but I don't have to worry the gimmick will fall out. Sometimes by turning the lid you can find a tighter spot.

Tbaer,
Thanks for the reply. I may have to go that route. I sent an email to Bazar about it.
I'll post the reply if they come up with a solution. Someone else on the Café suggested putting tape around the inside of the rim. It's unfortunate that you buy an effect and there is a problem with the prop and it ends up being a disappointment. There are other tricks I have recently bought that were disappointing. Great idea, but not the best craftsmanship.

I was considering buying this but already have Supercan and was playing with that this morning. If there is a problem pouring the soda (and it seems you pour very little anyway) if you owe Supercan you can pretty much do the same effect. You can show the can but not the top (although I have another gimmick from "Emptied" that may make this possible). Sometimes you just have to be a little more creative with the things you already own.
