This thread is dedicated to my wife, Krista, and it's also dedicated to all the wives, lady friends and sincere sigothers who support us in so many ways. Krista has worked hard for years to make it possible for us to maintain, and in fact saved up enough money for us to buy the little car that will make possible our Gypsy Quest. When my ailments were at their worst, she had to listen to my pain (agony, honest)during the day and night, change bandage, apply the medicines I needed, and clean up some very messy beds. She takes the background path so as to make me look like a "star" and is there to tell me when I have a booger in my nose! There is a huge disparity in our ages, and yet she tolerates my humor and definitly adds her own. This is a salute to her, but also a salute to all the other women who add support to make us guys look good! Take a little time to make her appreciated.

Slim,
Well, it's about time for a thread like this! Here's my tribute to my wife Meri, the redhead in the photo on the right. She has done an excellent job of playing the terrified wife when I walked on glass, and when I was chained to the ocean floor with borrowed padlocks as the tide came in. She has put up with a lot of weird stuff in the house, helped to silkscreen posters for my shows, and has helped to haul carloads of tents, banners, and props. During all this, she has found that my unusual pursuits are actually more interesting for both of us than the more conventional lives of her family and friends. Love is ultimately about acceptance. Let's face it folks, we are asking our partners to accept a lot! Yours, Paul |

Slim and Paul,
Wonderful post!! Your wives/partners are lucky to have you appreciate them for all they do. Sounds like all of you are deserving of one another. :O) Chrystal |

Here's to all the wives (and girlfriends) who dutifully accompany us to magical events and say to us the one thing we really need to hear: "You were great, dear, now can we PLEASE go home?"

Here's to my Andrea; kindred spirit, helpmate and psychic.
Engaged two weeks after we met; married four months after we met; married almost six years without a problem. Life has been a blessing with her. Steve

Here's to Donna! She puts up with me, and she doesn't even like magic!

Well, mine is a bit different. I have two loves of my life...they are Benjamin and Ryan. They have been the biggest support for me, they have been my biggest critics, and they have had to put up with macaroni and cheese (again!) for dinner on many occasions, but never get tired of saying, "Way to go, Mom! You were great! Now, can we go to McDonalds?"

The only stupid question is the one not asked.

Aye! Mine be a fine lass named Pamela. Always there to give me an honest opinion, pull me up, and...slap me down when when I need it (and I often do - Pyrate!).

Is it legit to add kudos for our kids?
The older one who always gives the right answer when I say "You can do balloons and faces Saturday, can't you? No, really, if you expect to go out Saturday night..." And the younger one who helps with my magic-biz DVDs who always understands when I say "Of course you can go visit your friends, but grab the camera 'cause I need a couple of shots as we pass the park." Bless 'em (and the lady who mothers 'em)! |

When I read the title of this thread, I couldn't help but think of the Groucho Marx quote:
