Right on, Dad! How much did she weigh? How long was she? Did you see the delivery? Did you cut the chord?

She looks like she's FP a dime in the last picture. You wouldn't suspect it because of the totally innocent look on her face...
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy;
The way into my parlour is up a winding stair,
And I've a many curious things to show when you are there.

Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair
-can ne'er come down again.

I thought I was going to get through the whole thread without someone saying that!

:)

Congratulations. In the words of Jerry Seinfeld: "Once a man has children, for the rest of his life, his attitude is, 'To hell with the world, I can make my own people!' "

She was 8 pounds and 20 1/2 inches long, I was there for the delivery but I didn't get to cut the cord. She was having problems at first and when she came out she wasnt breathing so the docter just snipped it real quick and they rushed her off. Thank god all is ok.

Thanks guys again for the great comments and kind words

My daughter had trouble breathing, too. My wife's water broke and the baby was born about 2 hours later. Not good. She took amniotic fluid into her lungs and had to stay in an oxygen tent for 24 hours. The doctor put her on an anitbiotic regimen that lasted 7 days, (protocol) and that means that my little baby girl didn't get home from the hospital for 7 days. My wife and the family were absolutely frantic, but the doctor wasn't, so nor was I. I stayed calm for everbody's sake and reassured them that WE ARE WINNERS. That kind of positive mental attitude works flipping wonders, man! I'm now the only male expert on babies in my whole entire family. Her condition cleared up in about 16 hours and she made it home right on schedule. (Ya' gotta love it when a plan comes together.) She is now going on 9 years old and growing into an extremely exotic young woman.

The reason I'm expounding all this here is to give you a point of reference and let you know that these things happen and you aren't alone. My best to you and yours and all the little new ones. Winners all.

Yes, I am so glad she is ok now. It was a little scare but not for too long.

Oh by the way her name is Malia

Its not spelled the way you actually say it. This may help. This is how it sounds when you say it

Ma lee a

Glad to hear your child is all and well. Man, 9 years old. Its goes so fast. I will have to be knocking some heads when she gets around 12 or so.

I know what I was doing at 12 and you can be for sure I wont let that happen, ahahah
