I've been practicing card magic for 2 years. It's hard to get tips in this hobbie because you don't want to expose secrets, so your pretty much on your own. Maybe some of you can help me on some things.

Go for it.
Try using the Search feature and ask your questions in the "Pick a card...any card" category. There's a little more info given when you reach 50 post and can access the Banquet Room. Best, |

Buy DVD or books. Many free materials on the internet.

Books have been a terrific resource for my learning. I purchased several of the books that are recommended for beginners (here in the Café')from Amazon.com and on Ebay. Mark Wilson's "Complete Course in Magic" has been very helpful.

Hanging out at a magic shop, if one is nearby, is a good idea, soon you'll make friends and start sharing ideas.
I'm not looking to be a big star in magic
and that's working out REALLY good so far. |
