The folks at the magic castle seem to have some footage of Ramsay doing the trick.

Or you can catch Dan Watkins, Bob Kohler, John Carney, Andrew Galloway, Tim Conover .... as they travel
...to all the coins I've dropped here

John carney video "up close and far away"
john carney dvd "carney on ramsay"

Carney's book "Carneycopia" is probably the very best resource
for the trick if you want to learn how to apply the misdirection principles
Ramsay felt were so important.

It's on Andrew Galloway's video/DVD set 'The Magic of John Ramsay' (Volume 1). Available from International Magic in London.

The Galloway version is the closest you can get to the original Ramsay version on video, though you are watching Galloway do the routine, not Ramsay. From seeing the Ramsay footage at the NYC Coin Magic Seminar in PA, Ramsay definately had a faster performing style than Galloway's presentation.

Speaking of the NYC Coin Magic Seminar, if you get a chance to get a future seminar you will see Mike Gallo and Geoff Latta perform their versions. Mike Gallo's is on a lecture video he sells exclusively at the seminar.

John Carney's "Carney on Ramsay" DVD is honestly probably the best version you can see on video and also learn the routine.

Tim Conover has a performance only on the Mullica Bash Video. Doug Brewer has a performance only version on his Unexpected Visitor DVD.

I will have a performance only version on my upcoming Coin Man Walking DVD.

I just saw Carney's version and I agree that it looks better without all of the fients.

A friend of mine and I saw Tim Conover do his Cylinder and Coins up at SAM Nationals in Boston this summer...It was like 3am and a bunch of us were all huddled together in the Mezzanine level of the hotel watching him perform that as well as other effects of his own. I gotta tell you that his handling is awesome. Every move that he did was so smooth and slow. He didn't do anything fast at all, that's what made it so amazing for me, just to see him be very slow, smooth and casual about everything, it was just awesome!!!

Here is Bob Kohler's comments from a prior post on the subject:

Quote:
I've witnessed handlings from almost every coin worker I know. Tim Conover taught the routine to me many years ago. In my humble estimation, he is the living master of the routine. Tim can do the original Ramsay handling with all of the moves and feints with a precision and clarity that would make John proud. But he's also developed other handlings that use gaffs in extremely clever ways that make the routine more magical.

The guy has a tremendous website to, very interesting and clever. Smile Obviously a well accomplished guy and professional in a lot of ways. Funny, you don't hear much of these "others" in the larger discussions. Many times they are everywhere as good as the very best out there, perhaps even better quiet as it's kept. Smile

I spent many hours with Tim at that SAM convention, and saw him do the C&C at least 4 times. Yep, just terrific. In addition, he does the best bill change ever, and his bending coins is awesome. Everything he does is great... You don't hear much about Tim because he is too busy working!

Mr. Chosse,

I was there the night in the bar that Tim did his routine. And then saw it another 3 times in the mezzanine along with all of his other routines that you just mentioned. That bending coin routine fried the heck out of me and the bill changing routine, ooooh man. I think after he did the bill change routine, my friend and I couldn't take anymore and had to call it a night...To think of it I don't think my brain could handle anymore of his magic it is just too amazing.
