Hi Folks,

I wasn't sure where to post this so I'm putting it here in hopes that the powers that be will magically manouever things as need be...

Does anyone have any knowledge if Harry Anderson is "okay"?

I had the pleasure of spending some time with him at his amazing magic shop ("Sideshow") off of Jackson Square (by the water) in New Orleans a few months ago (his home is directly behind). (In fact we had already purchased hotel and airfare for a return visit in November!)

I was hoping that someone on-line might be able to comment on his well being and whether he was safe and sound in light of all that's happened in the past 24 hours.

Any help?

James

I was wondering the same thing. I can only pray for him. It is unlikely that his shop made it through the storm and flooding, but I hope its in tact. His well being is more important as well as the many thousands that didn't make it out in time.

Harry, his Club & Shop are fine.

Here is a link with a quote from Harry's
Buddy, Ventriloquist, Jay Johnson.

This is the posting that Frank referred to:

"Harry and Elizabeth stayed in New Orleans until this morning. They weathered the storm and the aftermath pretty well with no significant
damage to the club or the shop. When his friend, a fireman, was told to evacuate the city, Harry decided it was time to go. He is fine. He will have great routines and stories from this adventure I am sure.
Jay"

That's great news - sort of.

I look forward to the rise again of New Orleans someday soon...and visiting Harry's dream club he was preparing to launch...

Cheers,

James

Good to know that Harry is okay, he is who first interested me in magic....hope he can get the shop running again so I could someday visit. More importantly hope and pray for the families who lost everything, that they get back on there feet eventually
