Some time ago in town we had a magic convention.
There was a contest at this convention.
There was a young man that wanted to get into the contest.
He contacted the people running the contest and wanted to know that after he won the contest could he be one of the feature close-up acts at the convention.
I found myself chatting with him and someone else in the magic shop one day.
I thought I was cordial with him.
He did something. I offered to show him how I palmed a card. I shuffled the deck and had him hold his hand out. I then dropped the deck into his hand. Then I showed him I had palmed the card. I said that it was a very simple method. Then I showed him how it worked. He said nothing. He turned and walked away. I never saw him again.
