Listen, I'm not doing this as a favor, neither for an ego-boost, BUT! I just received my Palmer magic wand, and it is nothing short of a gem!

The weight is supreme, handmade craftmanship is superb, and I feel the pirce range of 20$ for the "lite" and 25$ for the standard is way too low!!!

I want all my younger magi to understand that Master Palmer is one you should learn from while here on the Café. I have sat back and reached magic "enlightenment" through his humble, wise words, and teachings. Not to mention his Cups and Balls Museum (you can find the link below his avatar)

He taught me the neccesity to return to the roots of the magic tree. I have done this, and am coming along much better for doing so.

...but I digress...

Get the wand while you can...these are nothing short of Heirlooms, so pass them along...

You are too kind. I'm just another magician who is addicted to cups and balls, wands and knowledge.

And I don't mind sharing them.

It is a nightmare. The "orderly evacuation" from Galveston turned into a nightmare early on. This clogged I-45 up to Huntsville. So now, it is impossible to go from Galveston to Huntsville, much less Dallas.

They are planning to open a contraflow lane on I-45. This will move the clog from Downtown Houston to Conroe.

Thanks. They opened the contraflow lane from Conroe to Ennis. Ennis is about 35 miles south of Dallas. Now the traffic jam has moved up to Huntsville. This is the wrong direction to go if you want to get away from the storm.

Erm... I feel like this is a bad question to ask but if you don't mind, what are you doing with your magic apparatus?

When did I buy Bill's GoldenRod? I think it was over a year ago. It's in my living room right now. It's never been on a shelf. I've looked at other wands but can't even think of owning a different one.

Not a bad question at all. Let me give you a run down of what we have been doing for the past few days. When Katrina hit NOLA, we were at the TAOM and we discussed what we would do if we were in the same situation. So I outlined a basic plan. I have a fairly large collection of banjos, in addition to the cup collection. Two of the banjos are fairly valuable. Those are in waterproof cases. The others would go upstairs and would be covered with a tarp. The two banjos would go with us. I would take the most valuable and perishable cups with me. Also the wands that fall into that category. The rest would be boxed and placed upstairs under tarps. So we would leave home with enough food and water for a week, two dogs, my wife, two banjos and about 2 dozen sets of cups and some wands.

I have a few other props that I would take as well.

Also some valuable books.

But you can't take everything. That's why we have insurance. You have to know what is replaceable and what isn't.

Amen.

Even if they're cool toys, they're still just things.
