I think you have done the right thing. The Troy Hooser DVD will give you a good start on the cups and balls. The Ammar DVD's are also very important, just to give you background and ways of thinking about the c&b. The Stevens DVD is also good because of the additional material and the fact that it is the only place that you will see Charlie Miller and Johnny Thompson talking about C&B. Paul Gertner, Dan Fleshman and Al Schneider all have excellent material on their DVD's as well. I got a great vanish off of an Alex DeCova videotape. You fellows who wanted that Ammar book -- well, here it is! Go for it! And I can't get the hang of the wand spin, either. So I don't do it.

Bill, I can tell you how to get the hang of the wand spin. Do it over and over and over and over and then videotape yourself and send it to an experienced magician that is kind enough to be honest with you and tell you what you are doing wrong.
That's what I did. I sent my video to Bill Palmer. I can't recommend him highly enough. |

The first thing I would have to do is block out the time to do it.

Thank you Bill, for the encouragement. May I ask who is this Loomis that is mentioned by Rik as having a great C&B routine. Is that available on dvd, or is it a book/booklet? Thanks again to all of you for your input and ideas. Oh, yes, I forgot. I also have the Carl Andrews Table Hopping Cups and Balls dvd available if anyone is interested.
Thanks! Mark

Mstick, that would be Denny Loomis. You can get his routine at http://www.loomismagic.com/#NEW it's $15. It's a booklet and well worth the price no matter how long you have been doing cups and balls.

Don't forget Charlie Frye's offering on the routine.
Very entertaining routine. Combo, btw. john bannon's routine in impossibilia is also a good read.
