Ellen, you surprised me.
When I saw your name on this thread, I was sure you would say Night Court. (G)

Aha! But for THEME songs--I like ones with words. Three's company was so 70s. I LOVED it!
NC was my 3rd fav show.

I always liked the "Lost in Space" opening theme

The Magic Castle is using this as the opening to the Palace of Mystery show. I wonder how many people in the audience recall it as the "Lost in Space" theme.

Gummi Bears had a show??? I thought they where just a candy.

Gummi Bears

Dashing and daring,
Courageous and caring,
Faithful and friendly,
With stories to share.
All through the forest,
They sing out in chorus,
Marching along,
As their song fills the air.

Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.

Magic and mystery,
Are part of their history,
Along with the secret,
Of gummiberry juice.
Their legend is growing,
They take pride in knowing,
They'll fight for what's right,
In whatever they do.

Gummi Bears!!
Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
High adventure that's beyond compare.
They are the Gummi Bears.
They are the Gummi Bears!!

And they even had Lorenzo Music doing a voice!

It was on the old Disney Channel (the one that played GOOD shows) in the early and mid 90's.

It was actually on a syndicated show called "The Disney Afternoon" and moved to the Disney Channel later!
"There's no time to lose," I heard her say.
"Catch your dreams before they slip away."
"Dying all the time, lose your dreams and you could lose your mind.

Many do not know this but the following TV Theme Songs had words to them:

Bonanza

I knew this! In a very early episode, the Carwrights mount up _talking_ the song's lyrics! (I understand it was because Lorne Greene thought it would be silly to have them actually singing!)

Quote:
The Munsters
MASH

I knew this too! It was an audition piece of mine for years! (It was also a Jeopardy answer; "This television theme song is actually entitled "Suicide Is Painless.")

Quote:
Mission Impossible Composed as a jazz song

Top Cat is one of the more memorable theme songs for a cartoon.

I'm not sure why...or what I can do about it short of shock therapy...but, every now and then I get the "George...George...George of the Jungle" theme stuck in my head. And drives me BATS! Oh great...there it goes again.

Skip

Weird Al Yankovich actually covered that on one album. Totally straight, no parodies or twisted lyrics!

There's probably a good reason for that!

"Catch your dreams before they slip away."

Those look great! But for some reason I can't get them to play.
The difficult must become easy, the easy beautiful and the beautiful magical.
