I am new here, and am a bit starstruck. So many GREAT magicians, and I am just an amateur.
I started doing magic a few years ago in the army. I bought David Blaine's book on a field training event in Germany and freaked out my platoon with the card through window trick. I couldn't believe I got it to work. From there I spent 14 months in Baghdad. I asked my brother to mail me a book on chess, and a book of magic, and the magic book saw much more use. I ordered many more books and DVD's after that, and practiced in my free time, at first to pass the boredom, but to enertain my fellow soldiers as well. I am now a civilian, and a bartender/server at a local restaurant. I haven't used my magic with the general public just yet (I guess it must be stagefright), but I entertain my fellow coworkers now and then. A magic forum frequently visited by the almighty Banachek is FANTASTIC!!!!!! I love this place. What a wonderful world of insight I have stumbled upon |

Welcome home and to the Café.
As a server you will get lots of information in the Table Hopping section. Being a bartender, you should look into work by Doc Eason, J.C. Wagner, Scotty York and Eddie Fechter among others. Best, |

Tucson's a great place for magic. I lived in Tucson for little over a year and never realized how big of a magic community is out here. Williams Magic Shop I found is the place to go for all of your magic needs.
