I recommend getting one or two of these before Joe decides to stop making them. I've performed this effect over and over and not once has it ever failed. I even purposely tried to get it to fail, no go, it works everytime! No fear of a reel jamming or not doing it's job. A kangeroo skin version would be nice
Way to go Joe! Jake

Thanks all but I'm reely (HA) after the reel. It's the right size and strength for my purpose. I have one but you know what they say, get back ups. Thaks for the info on the ring flight though. I just may look into that. All the best, Dimmare

Is Porpers "Just in Case" not basically the same as Bloom's flying ring?

James,
This is a key reel that is sold on the market. It's brand name is "Key-Bak" a California company made them. You can search truck stops for them or you can contact one of 2 magicians. Petrick & Mia makes them as a reel as well as Jay Scott Berry, the guy who sells the diamond cut silks. The last time I seen Berry's reel he changed to a very small cable instead of the nylon line he orginally used. Petrick has improved his a well with a nicer better locking device. Your picture depicts the orginial Sterling ring flite. I know you can get one from http://www.stoners.com they only have one left. I also have one in my collection. You can email dickstoner@dickstoner.com or call the store. Being they only have one left it is not displayed on the site. |

Correction! Now that there is a Flying Ring Key Case that is Called 'Sterling', I wish to post the correct name of the Ring Flite refered to in this string. The Coin Company 'Sterling Magic Creations, Inc., made the Michael Kaznetsis' "Power Ring Flite" key case. This is the official name of this outfit. I hope this clears up an confusion as I always refered to this Ring Flite by the company that made the equipment. They no longer make this any longer.
From the photo for the NEW Sterling Ring Flite it seems they use the same Key-Bak Key Reel. Maybe this is as good as the original, but I do not own this latest version. |

I know PM magic makes a NICE locking reel. I attended a lecture that Petrick and Mia were at and they showed the amount of things you could do with their reel. It comes with a lifetime warranty....

After looking round, it seems that 'Key-Bak' has no lock, was that something that was added specifically for ring flight?
Many Thanks Gary |

Looks like the Sterling Ring Flight from the picture.
It's the one I use and the reel does lock.
