The best Ring and String routine is Gregory Wilson's Ring Leader. This has now been released as a DVD. The best Ring and Rope routine are Aldo Columbini's "Still Ringing" or his "Still Ringing Too." Both are good.

I have said this before, and it needs repeating, there is no ring and rope routine that comes close to "full circle" it is in a class by it self, and is no longer in production, there are only a few VHS copies of this fantastic routine still availible. It is the only ring and rope routine (that I know of) that uses two pieces of rope which gives you much greater flexability. If you are not lucky enough to get a copy of this unique routine for yourself the only way to see "full circle" will be to go to one of my shows.

I think Tabary's Ring and Rope routines uses two pieces of rope. Check out The Award-Winning Rope Magic of Francis Tabary.

Probably because it was released some years ago it has been forgotten. But, the Johnson (Roy Johnson) Ring Trick from Ken Brooke is one of the best. I believe it is still available from http://www.stevensmagic.com

Okay, to clear this up. Is everyone talking about finger rings? Or are we kind of mixing finger rings and actual rings?

I vote for Full Circle (available on VHS with props) from made2amaze@yahoo.com. Alternatively, Steve Farris has a ring and rope trick that's on magicvideodepot.com performed by Roland Henning--it's super.

Rolland Henning has a great routine which gives me some new ideas. Steve Farris, "full circle", and "fiber optics" together have set a new bench mark for rope/ring, and rope magic by using some great two piece rope moves. Thanks a lot manoj. HAVE FUN Al Angello

Hi Al! I like Full Circle too, but have not used it yet.
I do an Aldo Colombini variation, which I showed him when he was here in the Phil. |

The Aldo Colombini routine is excellent. I picked up some great moves searching thru Apocolypse.
For ring and rubber band - there is an excellent routine in 'Richards Almanac' - I think its called rubber ringer. |

If you are talking Ring and String, I agree that Gregory Wilson's Ringleader is terrific. For the original, get Ray Grismer's video "Ray's Ring and Rope Routine" from Busby Magic. Also, I really liked Dan Fleshman's routine on "The Restaurant Magic of Dan Fleishman" Vol. 1.

I am a rubber band nut, so where can I find "Richards Almanac" I hope you are not refering to the Ben Franklin publication "poor Richards Almanac", because dear old Ben died before they starting exporting rubber from Brazil. HAVE FUN Al Angello

Check out El Duco Magic's "Close-Up Ring on Rope by Willi Wessel" DVD with props. It's great to get you started. Once you know that one like the back of your hand, I'd then look into Colombini's or Daryl's routines for more moves.
