Don't worry, I wont be exposing too much. I am working on a routine to perform for a group of 95% magicians. I don't want to tell to much about this routine, but at one part, I want to 'expose' a trick. This is for a stage routine. I have already thought about dong a thumb tip vanish, and bringing out a huge fake thumb, and pretend that is how the trick is done...
I don't have to really say how the trick is done, but I need a somewhat good explanation that I can say and show how it might be done. I want to keep the price fairly low. This is a comedy routine, so anything goes... Thanks, Tyler |

Silk to egg from the video section of whithaydn.com . Watch it. You'll like it.

Or "Backstage?" A glass of milk vanishes, only to be 'explained' by the Mage, who then suckers the audience with an 'actual' vanish? Bill Severn's got an easy-to-make version using a bar of soap, too; essentially the same bit.

Yes Sammy, I forgot all about that routine. A friend in my magic club performed that a while back. Thanks you both...anything else?

It's been getting a little boring in the magic scene, so I suggest you expose something of Walter Blaney's. That oughta cause some excitement!

A gag expose I use for magicians is with the vanishing silk. But instead of using a thumbtip I use a jumbo tongue, it's a big plastic tongue you put over your own. So silk goes in there, you "blow" and it vanishes... had to watch the masters do it dozens of times before I figured out the secret... honest!
Another fun one is the vanishing thumb tip... Paul |

I don't think a thumbtip should ever be in the mix, only because I still believe it is one of the most closely guarded secrets that laymen still do not know of, so why put it in their heads. Anyhow, I use a vanishing kethup bottle expose. Bottle is in the paper bag, turn the bag upside down and....nothing. I then show it is done by holding the bottle at the bottom through the bag. When I repeat the effect, I crumple bag and toss! Freaks them out everytime.

I believe that the TT-matrix was a joke, since the steal will be - you putting on a TT... But that went over head...
