I can relate to that, muzicman !!
I still consider myself a musician, first and foremost, (ah, consider heck, there's no question about it) but the reliance on other people was a crutch that I couldn't take anymore. I also know someone else around here who mirrors that sentiment.
I've always said, a band is like a chain; a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link, and a band is only as good as it's worst member. One bad apple does spoil the whole bunch, girl !
My music solution, however, was to focus on writing and multitrack recording, and learning well all 4 basic instruments: (guitar, keys, bass, drums). The modern desktop computer today, beefed up with a pro quality sound card and decent sequencer/hard disc recording software, can become a 96 track recording studio and then some.
Now if only I could sing worth a *** ! lol

Because it helps me to ignore the voices in my head, and it beats a day job!!

Actually, because it reminds us and our audience that even what we thought was impossible is within our grasp.

i.e., it reminds us to always nuture and grow the inner child in us all. Reminds me to be ever playful, e'er joyful of the mysteries of Her, the Mother Universe.

I AM the ever free, ever blissful mysterious Child of Life, forevermore.

Because if I can make the spec think that I have bent reality in any way, people view me as unique, and I think everyone wants to be unique in some way

Well said, and I couldn't agree more. Remain ever young! Refuse to ossify! Magic is human playfulness at its best.

To pin point who's curious.... hope someone gets what I meant!

I like the way it allows stories to become tangible and from that experience we get new stories.

Because even though I spend my days describing the beauty of what we do know, there's also a part of me that wants to share the idea that maybe, just maybe, we don't quite yet know it all - but it's possible nonetheless!

Mystery. Mystery. Mystery.

Because it allows be to bring a moment of joy to another human.
