Color Vision - I got a nice version, I think it was a Howard Hale Wood Magic item. It is beautiful. If also floors people.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

The best I have ever purchased under $7.00 is the coin slide that allows you to place a signed coin in a nest of boxes. I use it to place the signed coin in a match book cover. Trice was under $3.00 when I bought it but the look on the spectator's face when they have to rip the cover apart to remove their signed or marked coin is priceless.

If you're willing to up this just a few bucks, Aaron Smith's Magic Depot has a link on the bottom of the left hand column of the main page, for effects under $10.
http://www.magic.org/ Overall though my vote goes to the TT - it's the most versatile utility of them all; what other magic tool under $7 has numerous 3 volume DVD sets dedicated to it ?
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

I do not remember the name of the trick, but to me it was a killer.
It was the one where you have spec mark a coin. You take the marked coin and drop it into you pocket. You take out a box that has 4 rubber bands around it. The spec removes the RBs and opens the box to find a match box inside of that box, that too has 4 RBs. Those rubber bands are removed and inside the matchbox is a cloth bag that has a RB around it. The spec removes the RB and inside is the marked coin. You know recently I was speaking to my father who has been watching me do tricks for over 35 years now. Some are expensive and touted as being very impactful, which many are. My father said to me the other week, "hey you know, when you were a kid, you had that box and coin trick which I think was one of the best you have ever done." While I know that the effect always killed, it led me to go to my old tricks and pull it out. I have been doing it over the past few weeks, and you know what, it is great still. I want to get my son this trick, but have not been able to find it on the online stores. Is it still made, and what is the name, if you know. As to this post, I would highly recommend this effect. You need set up time, but it is foolproof and very powerful. Regards, Bob |
