The developer of the Spider Pen, Yigal Mesika has a book "Animated Miracles." That might be a good place to look.

I believe that "Animated Miracles" only deals with loops. To my knowledge, there is nothing yet available dealing with the Spider Pen.
My suggestion is to experiment...in addition to the bill float, try haunted deck effects, paper napkin rose float, etc. The pen has limited "pull", so you will find it difficult to float objects that are heavier than the bill. Look at the various books that deal with IT reels for some ideas. |

Definitly look for anything posted with an IT reel. You are limited with what can be done BUT the IT can be switched with more stronger IT like Kevlar (if you can find it) and other resources definitly give you anchoring ideas. I love my pen though and makes it so much easier when you have breaks or snags....... JPV

As far as I know there are no Spider Pen DVD available, but if you search for material about the ITR you'll be able to apply most of these tecniques with the Spider Pen.
One place to start is looking up James George at sorcery, he's the inventor of a similar product called the Kevlar Pen 2002. He's got a bunch of material on this subject. BTW - He's also a member here at the Cafè. -e-

Other than the fact that the Spider Pen is easier to use and “repair, any good book or video on ITR would be good.

But Why on the box of Spider pen written: "Ask for your dealer for Spider Pen DVD" and inside the instruction too???

Maybe it's just clever marketing. If enough people ask their dealers, then he'd know whether it would be worth making a DVD. Or, he was planning a DVD project and it just hasn't happened yet.
He has a website, maybe you can get more info there. http://www.yigalmesika.com

No, not at all. I bought one directly from Yigal. I've had no problems with it at all, and really didn't see the need for a DVD anyway.
I saw him as an enterprising young man with a good product and some of the best marketing skills out there. The packaging alone showed me the thought that went into the marketing of his products, rather than the zip lock bag and photocopied instructions that seem to be so prevalent nowdays. He even had custom shopping bags for each customer. Every customer became a walking advertisement for his products for the duration of the convention.

The Spider Pen is just a motorized Invisible Thread Reel. You should be able to use most IT or ITR routines with the Spider Pen.

I bought a Spider Pen at the 2004 IBM convention. It seems to work fine but it never did "click" for me. I still like the LeClair animator hookup the best.
