Yes can use any kinds of cards. most whould recomend bee brand cards. These are also the one McBride uses in his teaching videos. They are good videos and will teach you a lot about manipulation. Though card minipulation is very very hard. hope this helps

Use Bee brands. There is a specific reason to use those types of cards (PM me if you don't know why). Also get McBride's DVD "Manipulation Without Tears" to start with. And practice, practice, practice, rehearse, rehearse, rehearse....

When you get really good you ca use pretty much any card- I use a white backed card and no one is the wiser but my card manips are a little fast if you were going for a slower routine which is probably better- Then use your Bee back designs- To start with

use the Bee back designs because some of the flourishes such as The fans, some productions etc can over lap into close up magic and why not use the 1 tool for both.

Later you can move to manipulation cards if you feel the need, but as an actual worker- I don't use manip cards I use poker sized cards.

It's pretty much the other manipulator's preference to use white bordered cards but for less flashing (less showing of the white border between the fingers) use a red backed or flesh toned card.

If you are only doing a back palm of a single card- in close up- then realisticly you can use any card including a business card and even coasters in some bars.

Start off with Red Bee Back design- becasue they are stronger and will stengthen your fingers

If you move to the special thin manip cards out there you will find that you can do a lot more with them after working with the harder Bee cards

The only real difference between Bee back, Hoyle and Bikes are the border, sure the air cushion finish and all that stuff may play a small part but basically they are all the same
the red bee back will allow you to hide the card better

where as the cards with the white border are more likly to flash through your fingers

Since you are in Israel, try looking around in convenience stores if they have bicycle or bee brand cards. If you can't find them, look for them in the internet.

You can use a regular cards, but I perfer to use Murphy's manuipulation cards, they are the best. If you need some where to start with card manipulation go with Jeff McBrides card manipulation videos they have a lot of detail in them, that's how I got started. Also if you need to find the Murphy's card's go to this web site and you will find them:
http://www.themagicwarehouse.com/
Then go down to Supplies and you will find them, there is also another brand of cards called Norm Neilson's cards they are good but they need some fanning powder from time to time, the Murphy's do not.

Best of luck,
Jeff

Yes get the McBride DVD's and stay away from the sheridan ones

SHeridan may be a really really really really good manipulator but he isn't the best teacher

The McBride ones are very very good start with vol 1 and then 2 and then 3 and then 4

-ha ha I got you there is no forth but if there were you should get it
I Can't help much with regards to cards in Israel but other places

Casinos usually have 2nd decks basically old decks with a hole in it- (not sure if isreal has a casino)
Game shops where you buy those Roleplaying games usually have a selection of gaming suppliers and some Dungeons & Dragons Games if you like that kinda thing.

I have really really bad cards in my local newsagent for about $2 - they suck and they can't fan but at least they are in the shape of a playing card.

Magic Shops have them as well

Casino suppliers
Board Game shops
I guess you could google Bike cards Israel

good luck

Oh if you can't find any cards and you don't have $5000 then check out Jeff McBrides DVD's on Billiad ball manips, Coin Manips and thimble manips.

and I sell them for $5000 each I could send you 2 for the price of 1 if you like.
