Does anybody have any ideas on how I could start to get more shows? Should I start calling companies and suggest they have magic at their party or ___________? I would appreciate any help

Show Business is TWO words. The phone won't ring off the hook unless you get out there and make that happen. I do actually have an essay about "heading first into show business" in my book.

I do a lot of birthday party shows & most of my work comes from referrals. Try to get work performing at kindergarten and day care centers for their Christmas parties. It can set you up with a good flow of people that have seen the Christmas party and will book you for their 4 turning 5 year old for the rest of the next year.
