I'm planning to do a video. What kind of tricks will make a solid routine? Will having too much of card tricks or other tricks make it dull?
Please give me tips on constructing a routine.

Thanks

What kind of video? Is it to teach magic or for entertainment?

What kind of routines do you do now?

I'm doing a demo for entertainment purposes.
Most of my routines consist of card tricks. People say that too many card tricks are boring. So, I need some help constructing a routine here. Should I learn different kinds of magic to do so?

You will be better off if you have more than just card tricks. Learning some other tricks (Coins, spongeballs, rope tricks, etc.) to do between the card tricks will give you a nice routine that doesn't focus on one type of magic.

Smile Take a look around for ideas on other types of magic that interest you. Smile

You can learn some tricks that incorporate other things with your cards. For example when you take out your deck of cards have some rubber bands around your deck. You can start out with some rubber band magic and some card and rubber band magic. Then that segways into some card tricks. One of your last tricks can be the Matrix which involves coins. That would segway into some coin magic. If you combine all this before long your doing a 15 to 20 minute routine.
