Corn bread would be good. I can't stand the sweet fluffy cake they call corn bread out here. Haven't had a decent caserole since I left Virginia, or fried apples either.

I miss North Carolina barbeque and catfish and hushpuppies as well.

You have to ask for sugar in your ice tea here...plain barbarism.

Maybe if I could get some good southern cookin' I wouldn't still be slippin' in and out of the accent. Smile

Excellent again Whit! Owen has you to thank for my recent purchase of a fine set of rings. Luckily I already own the shells and soon hope to aspire to your mastery of character. I thought I recognized some of that accent. Much of my family is in the Dante Virginia area. Good peoples out there.

Those are some pretty shells, Michael.

I have uploaded a few more video clips, including one on the Cards to Pocket and one of the Gene Anderson Tear.

Neat cards to pocket and awesome shell routine!

In fact I feel the performance of the shell game is most likely the best performance of the shell game that I have ever seen to this date.

But you have to understand the only other three other magicians that I have seen are Buddy Farnan, Frank Garcia and me when I look in the mirror or watch video of me work. And I hate watching me do magic I find myself very boring.

In this online video the performance was wonderful. The costume was wonderful. It was presented well from beginning to end and was fun to watch.

I am not fond of the little ball pea but this performer did the little rubber ball pea very well and to my surprise it WAS VISIBLE. From this performance I must say that everything that I said about the ball pea was wrong.

Because in this performance the rubber pea was both visible and it played very well.

And the most important part of the routine was that the AUDIENCE that was there watching it - LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THE ROUTINE. Because he had a strong positive audience reaction of laughter and fun!

This is the finest routine of the shell game as a performance that I have seen to this date!

Bravo Whit Haydn!

Thanks Bill but I have some perfect peas that came with my s4s copper shells. I have found that the perfect pea works well with bottle caps, thimbles and most everything.

Lately I have been working on some ideas with the thimble rig using the set of thimbles I got from the s4s with the perfect pea - inspired by seeing Whit's routine.

Spectator: "Why are you rolling up your sleeves?"

Whit: "It gives me an aura of integrity, I think"

I don't know if that was a stock line of yours or off the cuff, Whit, but THAT'S a line! Very funny and purposeful too. What we can see of your act on your site is a huge lesson in character and personality development.

Hey Whit,

Thanks for raising the bar just that much higher! As if it wasn't high enough! Your killing us here!

Seriously, what a brilliant job of showmanship, comedy and magic. Thanks for sharing these routines. I will enjoy stealing, uh... I mean watching them once more.

Regards,

Brady
