I would like some good advice on how to space audience participation routines with routines done solo. I love audience participation routines, but I have found that I need to warm the audience up before I go into audience participation routines and I cant do too many audience participation routines because people coming up on stage can result in "dead time". Furthermore, I believe the closing effect should be done solo, because you want to be the one getting the applause at the end of the show.
How do you space your routines in cabaret/stage settings?
