Hi All,
It’s good to be here, been lurking for a week or so, feeling the water’s so to speak. I’ve always been interested in magic, I started doing a few tricks 30 years ago or so after reading in Omni Magazine that Minneapolis had the second oldest magic store in the country (Eagle). I had to go in and start shopping. Well, as normal, life gets in the way of dreams (and the internet wasn’t around yet) so I stopped. I recently ran across a magic site and the bug hit again! I’ve purchased a couple of books (Bobo and Mark Wilson’s Complete Course In Magic) and have been starting to go though them page by page. It’s amazing how when you get older, you get more patient in reading and practicing. I’m looking forward to reading a lot of threads and joining in a few. Dave PS: Does anyone know of a magic store in the Providence RI area? |

Welcome aboard, LostSoul! You wouldn't believe how many people here have returned to magic after a long hiatus (me included)! You're in good company.
You've made a fantastic choice of books. Mark Wilson's book is a great introduction, and many pros still consult its pages from time to time! For coins, Bobo can't be beaten. You're also quite correct about gaining patience with reading and practicing as you get older! Look forward to crossing paths in these forums. |
